01 Installation & System Requirements
System Requirements
- Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
- 100 MB free disk space
- Audio interface with WASAPI support
- Serial port (physical or USB) for radio connection
Download the installer from ct7bac.com and run the setup wizard. The installer will guide you through the process and create a desktop shortcut.
02 First Launch & Configuration
On first launch, HamMixer starts a 14-day free trial with full functionality. You can configure your audio devices and radio connection right away.
Settings are stored at %APPDATA%\HamMixer\config.json and persist between sessions.
03 Audio Device Setup
Go to Settings > Audio Devices to configure your input and output devices. HamMixer uses WASAPI exclusive mode for low-latency audio at 48kHz/16-bit stereo.

04 Connecting Your Radio
HamMixer supports Icom (CI-V), Kenwood, Yaesu, and Elecraft radios via serial port. Go to Settings > Radio to select your COM port, or use auto-detection.

- Kenwood: TS-480, TS-590S/SG, TS-890S, TS-2000

05 Audio Mixer & Channels
The mixer provides independent volume, mute, and solo controls for each audio source. Adjust the delay to synchronize radio audio with WebSDR audio.

06 WebSDR / KiwiSDR Integration
HamMixer can load a WebSDR or KiwiSDR alongside your local radio, allowing you to mix both audio sources in real time. Configure your preferred SDR site in Settings > WebSDR.

07 Waterfall Display
The waterfall display shows real-time spectrum data from your radio, with click-to-tune and zoom support. Available for Icom radios with scope data output.

08 DSP & Mic Processing
Built-in mic DSP includes compressor, noise gate, equalizer, and de-esser. Configure in Settings > Mic DSP.

09 CW Keyer
The CW window provides keyboard-based CW keying with configurable speed (WPM), built-in macros, and voice memory integration.

10 Audio Recording
Record your QSOs directly from the mixer output. Recordings are saved as WAV files to your chosen directory.

11 Remote Operation (Client)
Connect to a HamMixer Server running at your home station for full remote radio control with Opus-encoded audio streaming.

12 USB Controller & Encoder
Use a custom Raspberry Pi Pico USB encoder for hardware VFO tuning and programmable function buttons.

13 Licensing & Activation
Go to Help > License to enter your license key and activate. Each key allows activation on up to 2 machines. To move to a new machine, deactivate the old one first.
